DEDIGATIO Q MR. MYRON MR. SWEARINGEN MISS ASHLAND We, the Seniors of Jackson High School, think that it is no more than fitting that this year's edition of the jacksonian be dedicated to three members of the faculty who represent both the teachers and the administration. Miss Isabelle Ashland, English teacher and also Latin tutor, who has contributed much of her time to the welfare of her stu- dents. Mr. A. O. Myron, who for many years has been the able superin- tendent of Jackson Public Schools, who has helped us in every way possible in ways of character, personality and scholastic cor- rection and guidance. Mr. Louis Swearingen, social science and football mentor, who has helped many students on the way to success by his guidance and by his example as a teacher, a man, and a friend who is very dear to all who know him. To these teachers and friends we dedicate this annual and wish them all luck and happiness for'years to come. ,I...

JAGKSDNIMI STAFF I L. Markquart, J. Olson, S. Shepard, R. Dilley, J. Hyde, B. Krause, C. Teigen, J. Peterson, R. Morton. For about four months nine JHS students made their way to the library to work on the annual or jacksonian. Many times due to sick- ness, etc., we were unable to keep up to schedule, but finally we met our February deadline. Russell Dilley and Stuart Shepard were the co- editors for the forty-nine edition. Betsy Krause was the able business manager and also added to the staff by her typing ability. joan Peterson was the snaps editor for this year's photo pages. jack Olson was the facksonian's Al Capp and did most of the artist work. Leroy Markquart and Bob Morton were the sports editors. The junior class was very well repre- sented by Carol Teigen and james Hyde who helped in all the departments. We hope that this annual will be a book that will always be regarded as a reminder of old friendships and dear memories for all the students and seniors and faculty of Jackson High School...nineteen hundred and forty-nine.
