Thanknng of what to do next, I decrded to do some shoppnng Upon walkmg unto one of the more exclusrve dress shops I asked to have a dress modeled The grrl who modeled the dress was cute slender and I knew her as Alma Adams Emerrck Thus was really somethungl My best fnend In schooll I was really glad to see her She wasn t llvung an Washnngton, gust vacatronnng there wrth her husband Terry Emerrck and had declded to make a few dollars on the sude by modelmg Srnce I was an old frrend she got the rest of the day off We really had a great tnmel She sand she was lrvung rn St Petersburg Floruda, and was very happrly marrued That mght the three of us went to a mght club where they were featurmg none other than Jack Shuck busnly pantomrmng records It was really great to see hum agarn He and his wlfe Joan Hennungs Shuck, were makung a tour over the states to drfferent mght clubs Feellng very tlred and worn l made my way back to the hotel The next day I thought ut would be even more excltmg because there strll was so much to see After a good mght s sleep and breakfast rn the mornrng I dressed and was ready for the day A few hours later l found myself at the Grave of the Unknown Soldiers where much to my surpruse I found Jum Nerlrng and Harold Rader standmg at attentron for those who gave theor lrfe for our country It really dud something to me Although I drdn t get to talk wlth them they recogmzed me and l was glad of that On my way back to the hotel I ran unto another one of my school frrends Avery Evmger I was really surprnsed to see hum, especrally nn Wasl'-mgton I thought he would have been marrued to Mary Lou Kern by now, but thnngs drdn t go gust rnght So we had dmner together and went to the Metropolitan Opera House where we saw beautuful Pat Moor DeVor ur sung mg Madame Butterfly After enloyrng a marvelous performance we went to talk wnth her She and .lum were tourrng all over the world I returned to the hotel early as I was to catch the mormng plane As I boarded the Pan Amerrcan, you ll never guess who shared my seat wnth mel You re so rrght Mrs Chrrstma Smlth IShunewI She was lust returmng from Cuba where she was vnssnng her husband Tom lt was real mce to see her agaun we talked over old tnmes and had our lunch together The plone arrnved nn Toledo at 4 O0 that same day, where I dnd some shoppmg before gomg back to Hoytvrlle As l walked unto Tedtke s Department Store there I found Joan Drshong sellmg records l stopped at her counter bought a record and talked awhnle was on the bus to Hoytvnlle, I decided my trlp was really successful after seetng all y schoolmates I never found out untnl later why l found most of them nn Washmgton lt was because of the wonderful Sensor trnp they all took upon whuch I wasn table to go Lynne Harrrs I IIIIIMM , . , .
