On October 9, 1950, we had the privilege of going to Bowling Green State University to hear the United States Marine Band play. It was enjoyed by all. After the weather got too bad to march outside, we started workin our new band books, which contained such popular songs as Washington Post, Semper Fidelis, Indiana State and many more. We were thrilled to play in our uniforms at our first home basketball game. For the rest of the season a pep band played at the home games. The entire band played at the tournament at Bowling Green on February 16. Through the efforts of the Band Boosters, the school board, and the band members, a new bass horn was purchased. We think it has not only added quality to our playing but has added to our appearance also. In the early spring a band concert was given Since both the band and Mr. Shinew had worked so hard in order to give the concert we were happy to see so many people present and to know that they enjoyed the music Some of the numbers enjoyed were Stormy Weather a fantasy Bells of St Marys Gettysburg Address and Semper Fidelis Several engagements have been arranged for the summer We hope to see you giving us your support High School Mixed Chorus if l- lllbl' PO N i i ht X nne K ine iri i a ni rr ine In hong Patty Mxor er r f-.nn r a ri lx xi 5 June 'ynn Harm lynr 'inn Dunn lN nia S r Janis s a t n lHllilJliOM u g Lui ls 'l ink cr, n r lc u r. iebpslickhlurn I - 2 I 1 - Q ' I . 3 I . . h .1 1 g 4 , , .
