Calllng McComb 3479 Oh dear' That number 15 the resldence of Paul and Jo Ann Farquharson Spltsnaugle' Hello' Yes thls IS Mrs Spltsnaugl A borzol? Why that IS a Russlan wolf hound That was a questlon asked by our mqurrlng reporter for the school paper hen I was ln Jackson Townshrp Hlgh School Madam you hav w n a w uple trxp to Callfornla The next mornlng Jo Ann and Paul came down to ask us to go to Callforma wlth them 1n thelr Lmcoln convertlble Of course we were dellghted because we were sure to see many of our classmates' One of Jo Ann's prlzes was a trlp to a beauty snop so we stopped at a rmtey looklng beauty salon The Doyle ln Cheyenne Wyomlng owned and operated Alvma Hartman Doyle and her husband B111 Imaglne our surprlse upon recognlz lng some of the beauty operators Mary Stott Evelyn McMaster Kathleen Funk and 1.1015 Foltz Vandersall Kathleen was just worklng at tne salon untxl her flnal degree ln nurslng came As we drove through the western part of Wyomlng our attentlon was attracted gatlon was ln order and so pulled ln Dr Harmon must nave seen us because he came out to meet us and wlth hlm came two young mnterns John M ser son of Bob Moser and hls cousln Robert Lee Wrlght son of Harold Wrlgnt We couldn t stop to see Bob and Harold slnce we wanted to get on to Callfornla but Merrlll told us they were happlly marrled to the Snyder twlns VK e flnally arrlved ln Callfornla and soon lOC3fEd the Smlthonlan where we were to spen the week wlth all expenses pam After a short vxslt wltn the owner Jlm Smlth who was an old classmate from Jackson I-hgh took us to see hls asslstant Eddle Copus and hls wlfe Mary Ruth Leatherman and thelr flve darllng llllle boys Another of the Jackpot prl es was a portraxt by a certaln famous Callfornla rtlst We went to the oeslgnateo studlo and found there the artlst Rlcharo Murlln After talkmg to hlm a whlle Tlny and l ECIGEG we would take Paul's car to be servlced whlle the Spltsnaugles were at the stuolo what a colnclaence' VN ho owne ne gas statlon out Paul Stearns ano Kennetll Patton' Ano from the lOOkS ol the place they sure were dolng prosperous DUSIDCSS .
