' '3 V DEDICATION 4 1 4' i I Gee m,nettie alive, people!,, These words will long ring throughout the minds of the stu- dents as well as in the halls of Jackson High School. At times there are no more beloved words on earth for they remind us of the man half-time shows at football games, the Friday afternoon pep meetings, and the Christmas choral presentations. Many people have made the name of J.H.S. known throughout the south, butnone has helped to spread the word as has the Hmusic master with his many years participating in the famed Mardi Gras parades, the inaugurations, and in Jackson the Halloween,Homecoming, and Christ- mas parades. He is indeed a hhbig man with a big heart who has given many endless and unselfish hours to the students of Jackson High School and of Joe M. Gillmore Elementary School. We, the Jagksonian Staff of 1967, dedicate this edition of the lIacksonian, ttHappiness IS...,, to you, Mr. Henri Mayton.

Mr. WCbster defines happiness as uA feeling of contentment coming from being or doing well, or of satisfaction at having got what one wanted. My wish for you is that as you look at your annual now and in the future, you will have a feeling of satisfaction because you have done your best to educate yourself for a happy life. Your annual represents many hours of hard work on the part of the Annual Staff - this is their contribution to our happiness. May you remember that man is here for the sake of other men - particularly for those upon whose smile and well-being our own happiness depends. Sincerely, Frank Barbaree Princ ipal x h Vat t
