As Mr. Johns lost he became Mr. Nettleton's servant. This did not settle their difficulties, however, and the two men fought as much as ever.. Miss Florence Cole, Mr. John's fiance, finally settled the quarrel and the two men were released from the contract because it had been made under a game of chance, In the end the partners were at peace. I une Pinson Synopsis Sir Gerald Craughmont, a young Irish nobleman, owner of the castle of Craughmont which is heavily mortgaged to his uncle, Squire Michael, rents the castle as a summer home to Mr. John Chandler and his daughter Clare. Clare becomes quite interested in the old Irish legend which Gerald tells her about the castleg viz: Many years ago a former Lady Mary of Craughmont fell during the festivities attending her betrothal, and as a result, died quite suddenly. Frequently since then she has been seen to appear on moonlight nights, singing a plaintive melody. The rest of the plot is concerned with unfolding the meaning of this version and the happiness which it brings to the characters of the story. li ockson High School:
