Panhellenic Cup The two sororities and a special faculty committee traditionally award the Panhel- lenic Cup to an outstanding woman student each year. The Panhellenic Cup Award has been tendered, this year, to Miss Barbara Fors. Miss Fors's services and honors are almost too numerous to list. She has been Secre- tary of the Student Commission for two se- mesters; Vice President of the Women's Club; Vice President of Phi Delta Sigma; Homecoming Queen; Black Friday Decora- tions Chairman; Watermelon Mixer Program Chairman; and member of the Sophomore Class Band Committee. Her poise and charm have won Miss Fors many campus honors, but her accomplish- ments suggest an even more luminous future. Men’s Union Award A special committee of the Men's Union organization each year considers candidates among sophomore men in regard to qualities of leadership, scholarship, and useful service. The most outstanding male sophomore is sub- sequently honored by the Men's Union Award. Winner of the 1960 Award is Mr. Jack Gillett. Mr. Gillett has served J.J.C. prin- cipally as a three-term member of the Stu- dent Commission. As President of the Stu- dent Commission, Mr. Gillett skillfully and diplomatically guided the affairs of student government. His continuing popularity among his fellow students can be demonstra- ted, moreover, by his election as Homecom- ing King. Mr. Gillett is also a member of the SNEA. Mr. Gillett's maturity and social grace should assure him an enviable future.
