In Dedication The 1960 Delphian is dedicated to MRS. GERALDINE TRAVIS. Mrs. Travis, then Miss Wadley, first became part of Jackson Junior College in 1948. She was the first full-time women's physical edu- cation instructor to be employed by this school. However, Mrs. Travis’ activities have involved much more than her physical education classes. She has served as Director of Student Affairs, Chairman of the Union Board, manager of Watershows, and, finally, as co-advisor of the Class of 1960. In many additional ways, Mrs. Travis has assisted and encouraged the students of J.J.C. Mrs. Travis is leaving the faculty to devote herself to her family, but her vitality and her sincere congeniality will be missed.
