THE JC-M PLAYERS The JC-M players were a very busy group in '77-'78. Members interested in vari- ous areas of the performing arts were able to pursue those interests both onstage and offstage. A much enjoyed event was the fall production of Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology. LIBRARY AIDES Without the assistance of the Library Aides, JC-M's two libraries would be una- ble to operate efficiently. These students helped Mrs. Boone and Mrs. Davis in every aspect of library work. Checking books in and out, maintaining over- due lists, processing new books and magazines, fil- ing, and making sure the card catalogue was up to date were among the duties performed. The Aides also prepared bulletin board dis- plays which made the libraries and study halls more attractive places in which to work. Activities X l47

The existing concert choir was joined by the Gospel, Swing and Jazz, and Girls' Choirs. Twenty-plus Sing- ers tried out for the All- West Tennessee Chorus, with nine being chosen and others receiving high rat- ings. Choir members who performed at a superior level were named to the All- State Chorus.
