IACKSON AGRICULTURAL 4-H CLUB The jackson Agricultural 4-H Club had one of its most successful years in l95U. Out of 49 members enrolled, 48 members completed. Officers for l95U were: Francis Baitz, President, Bob Whisman, Vice-President: Marieta Beck, Secretary-Treasurer, Dave Pickett, Reporter, Harold QS Naomi Schild- meier, Recreational Leaders, Donald Black, Song Leader, Duane Hiatt, Health G Safety Leader. junior Leaders were: Mark Ehman, johnny Bowser, Francis Baitz, Donald Black, and Bob Whisrnan. The Club won the 1950 Hamilton County Achievement Trophy based on attendance at the county meeting, and also on the completion of mem- bers on projects. Marieta Beck won the County Grand Champion Trophy in the 4-H Corn Show, Richard Walz won the County Grand Champion Trophy in Gardening and johnny Lewis won the County Grand Champion Trophy in Poultry. Gther awards were 3 Reserve Grand Champions, 7 Cham- pions, 57 first places, on projects with 63 firsts on record books. Members were enrolled in the following projects, Swine, Dairy, Beef, Poultry, Lamb, Garden, Crops, Conservation, Tractor Maintenance, Better Electric Methods, and Entomology. Adult Leader for jackson Township is Roland C. Lorton. His assistant leader is john W. Ehman. SEATED: Francis Baitz. The Chapter's largest project was organizing a trip for all members to the ln- ternational Livestock Show at Chicago. Money for this trip was obtained by selling Christmas paid half on the F. F. A. Program also sponsor the Iunior Rifle Club tours were taken cards and having a waste-paper drive. The chapter also new members F. F. A. jackets. Another high-light in the was the Annual Father-Son Banquet. The Future Farmers lackson Agricultural 4-H Club and the lackson F. P. A. which is nationally affiliated. Two important field trips or during the year by all members: the Purdue lunior Swine and Crops Day at Lafayette and the Hamilton County Livestock and Meat Caravan.

The chorus attends the State Chorus Contest, the County Music Festival, and the annual Town- ship Music Festival. There were several vocal solos entered in the District Solo and Ensemble contest.
