The candidates were chosen, two from each class, by members of the class. The queen, Barbara Epperson, was crowned at the last home game by the acting captain of the basketball team, Bill Scherer.

FOOTBALL QUEEN The seniors also sponsored a football queen contest. The election was conducted in the same manner. At the half of the last home qame a large red, while, and blue float drawn by two white horses carried the football queen, PeQQY Hudson, and her court.
