FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY We Freshrnen :of 1948-49 started our twelve years through school August 23, 1940. The starting class consisted of 4 girls and 10 boys. Mrs. Darrow guided us through the first two years. The 4 girls were LaVonne Booher, Anne Stephenson, Marie Earhart, and Lois Leas. The 10 boys were Harry Couch Jr., Robert Jackson, Rxcn- ard James, Ronald James, Mack Buckland, Jerry Kipliner, Richard Brown, Roger Buckland, Marvin Norris, and James Marshall. In January 1941 Maud Hicks entered our first grade from Banquo. Robert Weaver entered from Monument City in 1942. Delronda Julian and Gene Foreman entered from Chester and Cora Banter entered from Roll in 1943. In our sixth year of school Linda Hodson from Upland, Diana Baker from Popular Grove, Betty Coppock from Marion, Charles Hielein from Van Buren, and Clara Mae Grissell from Peoria Illinois joined our class. When we became seventh graders, two new students joined our class, namely, Leroy Wesco from Marion, and Dorothy Logan from Warren. Jack Hood entered from Van Buren in our eighth year. In our Freshman year so far Clara Folley has entered from Marion, and Billy Barnes from Lancaster. The students who have moved away during the nine years are: Anne Stephenson, Marvin Norris, Robert Jackson, Richard Brown, Jerry Kipliner, James Marshall, Gene Foreman, Diana Baker, Charles Hielein, Clara Mae Grissell, Dorothy Logan and Leroy Wesco.
