HISTORY OF SOPHOMORE CLASS In 1939. we started our twelve year journey through the grades and high school. ' Our grade teachers were: Mrs. Darrow, Miss Pinney, Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Young, Miss Morris, Mrs. Micheal, Miss Snyder, Mrs. Lindstrand and Mrs. Frantz. We started our first year with the following pupils: Donna Anderson, Ruth Slusher, Catherine Lee, Joan Myers, Barbara Beavans, Wilber Slusher, Dick Long, Marvin Norris, Johnny John- son, Charles Noble, Jauna Long, Richard Stroup, Frank Minnick, James Herring, Mack Buckland, and Robert Friar. During our ten years of school, those that have entered our class are as follows: Jack Daugherty, Esthel Carvey, Marie Stocton, Jack Banter, Gene Banter, Eugene Banter, Francis Whit- man, Gene Foreman, Peggy Shultz, Grace Baker, Lois Logan, and Patty Kierstead. Those leaving were: Marvin Norris, Johnny Johnson, Esthel Carvey, Charles Noble, Jauna Long, Don Butler, Frances Whitman, Marie Stocton, Gene Foreman and Jack Daugherty. During these ten years we have lost two beloved classmates, Grace Baker and Wayne Wilson. Those remaining in our class now are: Donna Anderson, Jack Banter, Eugene Banter, Patty Kierstead, Catherine Lee, Richard Stroup, Wilber Slusher, Dick Long, Ruth Slusher, Joan Myers, Peggy Shultz, Lois Logan, Etta Moorman, Frank Minnick, Bob Leas, James Herring and Barbara Beavans. Our class sponsor is Mr. Love. This year we chose class colors of blue and white. Our class flower is the white carnation. Our class Motto isg Today we follow, Tomorrow we lead. Class officers we chose at the beginning of this year are: Richard Stroup, President: Ruth Slusher, Vice-President, Joan Myers, Secre- tary, Peggy Shultz..
