Janie Stewart, president ot the local F.T.A., is rehearsing her part.while other members who participated look on. Mrs. Puryear, teacher of English, is speaking to the mem- bers of K.A.B.C. at a regular meeting in January on the subject, Let's Explore Literary Enjoyment. 'SN '. CLUB The program for the November meeting was a skit demonstrating correct parlia- mentary procedure. Patty Clark was intro- duced as the F.B.L.A.'er for the month of October. F.B.L.A. began the year with election of officers, and the first meeting with its newly chosen leaders was Installation and Initiation. l believe in my own ability to work efficiently and to think clearly, and I pledge myself to use these abilities to make America a better place for everyone, repeated each new member as they stated the creed to- gether. To get the new year off with a good start, Mr. H. A. Crane, manager of the Chamber of Commerce, spoke to F.B.L.A. He gave many interesting facts about a good busi- nessman and what is expected of him. The last candle has been lighted and these girls are now the newly installed officers of F.B.L.A. They are Kay Porter, president, Mildred Dixson, vice president, Pat Perkins, secretary, Wanda Kay, installing officer, June Dunlap, treasurer, and Linda Robinson, re- porter.
