And here, Mr. Gregg, post office employee, accepts the package for mailing from Mary Whitsitt with the editor looking on. The editor and June Dunlap are de- lighted that the shipment is ready ahead of schedule. The staff was able to beat the deadline by several days.

Ji' al. Mrs. Wesley Hendricks was sur- prised by members of the faculty with a farewell party in the high school library iust before the Thanksgiving holidays. Mrs. Hendricks completed ten years of teaching in the Jacksboro High School last spring. i A Thanksgiving feast was prepared by the girls in Homemaking lll with mothers and women teachers as their guests. A delicious baked turkey din- ner with all the trimmings gave the girls a unanimous vote as excellent and well-trained cooks and hostesses by those present. Miss Light is the instructor of this class. i..c cJllfUl table arrangemi- - si 'vv. with Mrs. Hill presiding at the coffee serv- ice. Mr. Kemp, our beloved custodian, is loved by every boy and girl who ever attended J.H.S. He is always kind, friendly, helpful, and considerate. He is always around when needed. He does everything from keeping the building spic and span to listening to the troubles and woes of the stu- dents. The students and faculty will never be able to express to Mr. Kemp their appreciation fully for all the things he has done for them. l believe in my own ability to work efficiently and to think clearly, and I pledge myself to make America a better place for everyone. This is the last paragraph of the F.B.L.A. Creed which is being given in unison by the new mem- bers of the club at the in- itiation service. The band's assistance at pep rallies was greatly ap- preciated. The booming of the drums accenting the yells of the students added to the spirit of the occasion. The melodic beauty of the high school song being layed by the band and sung by the entire student body is a never-to-be-for gotten thrill.
