FURE ORD Once again the time has come to relive the past year. As you turn the pages of this book. familiar scenes. times. and places will come vividly to mind. Today most of the events pictured on the pages of this book are fresh in your memory. but years from now they will not be so easily recalled. I hope that the l956 Fang will bring back the memories of one of your high school years which will always be so precious to all of us. Vile feel that there a strong bond of cooperation between our school and our community, and that the atmosphere of both radiates friendliness. The l956 Fang is dedicated to the spirit of progress and vision which motivates the citizens of our community. Our school is in the center of a territory rich in historical lore. Our townls record of achievement and growth is an enviable one. I.ater this year the ,lack County Centennial will be uppermost in the minds of our citizens. So it is with a great deal of pride that we have carried out the historical theme in our yearbook. Un behalf of the entire Fang Staff I would like to express our thanks to Mrs. Udis Ogle and Nlrs. Xvesley Hendricks, our advisors, who have worked so hard to make this Fang what it is. Also we would like to extend our appreciation to all people who played a part in the making of this book. We give to you the 1956 Fang and hope you will thoroughly enjoy it. NANCY MARTIN Editor
