RICHARDS Home Economics I, II The practical and scientific knowledge acquired through Home Economics will enrich the lives of those who avail themselves of the course. Industrial Arts and bricklaying are established for the purpose of stimulating interest among those interested in manual training as well as mental. Within the walls of the industrial and bricklaying rooms boys are learning to make a piece of leather or wood come alive and take form or construct fireplaces. These same boys may build our roads, construct our bridges or simply pro¬ vide the ebony lamp, book ends or fireplace for our dens. No matter how large or small the job, their task is important for themselves as well as others. Bend that back of yours and get to work. Mrs. Fenner, please let a little of the knee show.

The mathematics department at Barber includes general math, Algebra I, II, III, plane geometry, and trigonometry. The rewards of a mathematics study are self-reliance and a sense of achievement.
