Too many, this one sentence would express the entire season, but there are many things - some of an intangible nature - that make up a football season. To many fans, winning means simply getting the highest score, and the true purpose of sports is lost entirely by these fans. If a team plays hard and fairly, if it does the best it can and learns from mistakes, if every player has his heart in the game and feels like a part of the team whether he sits on a bench or not, then and only then will it be a winning team.
