JPrincipals JKessape Education is the torch that destroys the fear in the heart of us. In attempting to give a message to you as members of the 1958 graduating class I was struck by the thought expressed by the above motto which you have adopted. In this age of Sputniks and other high flying missiles, there has been a pronounced amount of fear in the hearts of many of us. I am sure that there isn’t any fear in your hearts. You have discovered the secret to overcome such frustrations. As you pass from these halls into a new environment, we are confident that you have your torch and are carrying it high. There is one caution which I should like to express, however. As with any other type of torch, unless it is properly maintained, the effectiveness of its light will be impaired. Likewise with your education, if it is not kept up-to- date, your potentialities will be lessened. The world is depending on you and your education. Please bear this in mind as you take your leave of us. Yours truly, 4 MISS DAISY McMANUS - Secretary
