The Business Department proposed for next year a course entitled consumer education, designed to satisfy this new requirement. Possibly because of the requirement, the business classes' enrollment increased to cause overcrowding. Department head Mr. E. Ludwig stated, Our classes are overcrowded for the type of instruction around which we like to build our courses. The notetaking class switched from a year minor course to a semester major. Mr. Ludwig said, Because of the skills we try to develop in taking notes, it would be better to have the students on a day to day basis rather than every other dayf' The class employed the ABC Shorthand Writing System. Using an electronic calculator, Carl Maly Qabove, left! adds a long column of numbers in a journal in his accounting class. With a poster above her head illustrating the business concepts being taught, Diana Bucci fleftj listens to a class lecture. In a D.
