xt Pottery Students Fire Clay with New Gas Kiln Pottery classes enjoyed the use of a new gas fire kiln this year. With it, students dried their clay and thereby solidified their works. The Art Department also bought new glazes for the pottery class and purchased equipment for the newly formed class in the fiber arts. Photography's increased enrollment enjoyed a new ventilation system in the photo lab. The department, however, dropped the humanities class from the curriculum because of poor enroll- ment. The class had been struggling in recent years, and this year it lost its struggle for sur- vival. Art students displayed their best works in November, February, and spring art exhibits in the main foyer of the school. A pottery student's work Cabove, leftb takes its shape. Soon it will enter the new gas kiln to dry. Finding a needed negative is missing, Bob Wade and Dan James Cleft! photograph a print for its negative.
