Cheerleading Squads Work To Promote Spirit For the second year in a row, the cheerleaders had two squads, one for the football season and one for the basketball season. There were separate tryouts for each squad. Adviser Mrs. L. Kulp and the girls promoted cheers and helped team spirits during the fall and winter games even though many times they lacked stu- dent body support. The girls practiced at least twice a week before every activity. Mrs. M. Trybus, the Pom Pon Girls' adviser, stressed cooperation and teamwork as the key to their new dance routines. To operate as a team and not as individuals, the group practiced three times a week to get their dances memorized for their half-time shows. However, Mrs. Trybus stated that the girls enjoyed their work when they proved that they could excel at something which they really liked. CHEERLEADERS-FRONT ROW: D. Krupicka, D.
