Their good performance showed in the team's record, which was six Wins and three losses. Their record put them in a A fthird place tie in the DPVL. Sophomore John X ,,, 194 ATHLETICS Svetich performed capably as quarterback when Phil Colonero was injured. W Compared to the varsity team, the JV team had a very poor season. They could never get a good offensive game going. Consisting mostly of sophomores, they played teams made .up of juniors. The extra year's experience on the opponent's side was instrumental in our team's 'Erecord of one win and seven losses. Running around the holding power of his offensive line, Bill Basta fabovel gains yardage against Morton East.
