Culture Clubs Sponsor a Wide Area of Activities This year, in addition to their weekly meetings, the Czech Culture Club planned two community-centered field trips. In October they visited the Czech exhibition at the Lincoln Federal Savings and Loan Association, and in November they went to a folk fair. The club financed their activities with kolacky sales. The French Club celebrated French holidays in their traditional manner. Their fund raisers included a car wash, a splash party, and sales of candles, candy, and baked goods. They displayed some of their French culture and customs to the four other language clubs when they sponsored the annual Halloween, Christmas, Mardi Gras, and Easter parties with their sales profits. Italian Club Reorganizes, Produces Fashion Show Reappearing at this year's homecoming cor- onation were the munchkins of the German Club. The club also celebrated the traditional fests : Oktoberfest, Faschingfest, and Maifest. Enthusiastic students thought it worthwhile to bring the Italian Club into existence again. To publicize their club, they displayed Italian car- toons in the foyer as Contemporary Italian Humor. Members sold orange carnations at Halloween time and highlighted their year with an Italian fashion show. Another club concerned with cultural customs was the Spanish Club. Their sources of income were flower sales and car washes. Money collected was spent on a dinner at the end of the school year. . Q.. As Lynn Taus comments, Gabriel David and Mr. J.
