Administrators and faculty, friends and relatives of graduates, and graduates themselves gather in the boys' gymnasium for commence- ment exercises in early lane. Seniors Experience Anticipation And Sorrow Upon Graduation Usually the scene of numerous athletic events, the boys' gymnasium was transformed to the proper setting for June's graduation. As the students walked down the aisles to the traditional marches, they anxiously awaited their di- plomas although they were hesitant in leaving behind numer- ous teachers and friends to venture into the future, to enter the adult world, to further their education, and to fulfill their goals. Nervous young men and women made last minute adjustments on caps and gowns as they reflected on the four years gone by. Upon reception of their di- plomas, the graduates accepted congratulations from friends and family and left Morton, perhaps forever. t Dr. W. I. .Hutchison congratulates a member of the graduating class .who is among the top twenty-five students as he presents her with an award signifying her accomplishment. Inside the school all is calm and quiet as anxious seniors fleftj at the Home Avenue entrance converse with one another about future plans and goals while waiting for the ceremonies to begin.
