Varsity Football Places Second After Loss in West Leyden Game The 1967 Morton Yvest Varsity Football Team had an exciting, yet disappointing season. They compiled a record of five wins, two losses, and one tie which put them in second place. Four Morton players made the all-conference team. They were Ed Buksas, defensive back, Terry Alexa, fullhackg Rich Hode, linebacker, and Joel Vistein, guard. Some other top men were guard Jim Wainwright and quarterback Skip Haak Near the end of the season Coach Reganls team almost had the conference title in their hands but lost their last game to West Leyden by a score of 8 to 7.
