Student Body Chooses Queen And Her Court of Six Seniors Early last October, West's students selected the home- coming queen and her court. Seniors limited an original list of about twenty girls nominated by several school organizations to seven. From these seven, the student body then chose the one girl they felt should reign as Morton West's 1967 Homecoming Queen. On Friday, October 6, Mary Ellen Habada, the 1966 queen, returned to crown ,leani Chin at the traditional homecoming pep assembly. Jeani was nominated by Junior-Senior Girls and escorted to the dance by Larry Schuck. As a senior she was an active member of Junior-Senior Girls, Booster Club, and the Evaluation and American Field Service Committees. She also presided as corresponding secretary for the MWSC and as recording secretary for the Berwyn Junior Auxil- iary. The other six girls who composed the queen's court were--Diane Bachta, Janie Bishop, Pam Gilbertsen, Candy Kaleta, Kathy Kraus, and Sandy Kriz. The homecoming queen's court was composed of Diane Bachta and Pam Cilbertsen fupper, Ieftlg Janie Bishop and Sandy Kriz flower, Ieftig and Kathy Kraus and Candy Kaleta Kbelowl. While touring Mount Vernon on the Easter tour, Karen Hagemann and Charlene and Diane Slezalc pause on the banks of the Potomac River to view part of the estate. A World War I memorial honoring men from Winnipeg, Manitoba, serves as a background for a photograph of social science instructor, Mr. E. O. Palmquist, who enjoyed many such sites in Canada. Spanish instructor, Mrs. M. K. Gamboa, and her daughter, Gina, enjoy the sights in the Plaza of San Martin in Lima, Peru, during their summer vacation spent in South America.
