BOOSTER CLUB This spring marked the eighth an- nual Booster Cluh dinner dance held in honor of senior athletes. This was the hig event that the girls worked to- ward for the entire year. The club consisted of forty senior girls and thirty underclassmen who were chosen primarily on their enthusiasm and available time to devote to the club. As members, the girls accepted the responsi- bilities of cleaning the trophy case, keeping the sports trophies up-to-date, promoting school spirit by wearing tags announcing lVlorton's athletic opponents, and selling refreshments at sports events. Booster Club donated its re- maining funds to the Athletic Department for purchasing new equipment. Mr. S. J. Pace served as the advisor. e'V?.,'Yf T ff' o ' 4 .V L. ,L .V bf i

,.---. I an PEP CLUB . . . A new innovation of the Pep Club, the largest club at Morton this past year, was the formation of the first card section in the Des Plaines Valley League. With the help of Miss D. F. Langer and Miss M. R. Got- temoeller, the card section was started in order to boost school spirit at games. In addition the members were re- sponsible for promoting school spirit by attending all games and learning all school cheers. Other activities were connected with the homecoming festivities when the club sponsored its annual mum sale and the girls worked dili- gently on their float entry for the parade. Climaxing a busy year was the traditional basketball banquet at which the Pep Club members served and gave awards to the out- standing members of the team. ' A -J' A I66 . A In K , e Ira 1 I ' .
