Music, Drama, and Sport Events Highlight Scheduled Activities With last September came the rush to complete floats, parade plans, football strategy, and dance decorations for homecoming. As homecoming day approached, the weather became unusually cold and rainy. This factor, however, did not hamper the spirit of Morton. After a victory over Addison Trails, our students enjoyed this year's home- coming dance, When You Wish Upon A Star. After homecoming, our Drama Department combined efforts with those of Morton East and Morton Junior College to present the fall spectacle, Funny Girl. Holiday spirit was generated by Frosted Fantasy, the Christmas dance, and the Music Departmentis December choral concert. During February, the Music Department offered band and or- chestra concerts, and the Drama Department staged Arsenic and Old Lace. With the arrival of spring many students traveled to Washington, D. C., Switzerland, and various conventions on school-sponsored trips. This year's special events were concluded with the Junior-Senior Prom in May and the graduation proceedings staged in June. Entering Morton West for perhaps the last time, seniors who have donned the traditional graduation garb await the ceremonies which will terminate their jour years' education.
