l ' ,t hponsoring orfon ances The Freshmen Board consists ot eight members. There are tour members representing Their class in each school. They run tor ottice in October. Before they are able to run in an election, the candidates must have a petition with the signa- tures ot 50 people on it. Then they must pass a test given by the Eligi- bility Committee, testing their knowledge ot the M.S.G.A. Those having good knowledge ot the M.S.G.A. are the only people eligi- ble tor running in an election. These students work hard representing the freshmen class. STANDlNG: D. Turek, J. Dernkovich, N. Kla- czynski. SEATED: J. Nevaril, K. Martinek, S. Tragapina N. Uss, R. Knupp. The purpose ot the Social Com- mittee is to be in charge ot all M.S.G.A. dances. The Social Com- mittee is the largest ot all M.S.G.A. committees and carries on all ot its work through smaller, sub-commit- tees. The committee elects its own otticers and committee chairmen. All of these committees work very hard, decorating and planning our school dances. lt works under a budget which has to be approved by the M.S.G.A. Board and Delega- tion. The committee plans the entire dance and sees that all arrange- ments are made and carried through. lt decorates and cleans up atter each aftair. Every year it spon- sors tour dances. This committee together with the M Boolc Committee helps MorTon's new- comers become better acquainted with J.S.M. Now that this code has been written, it is the duty oT the committee to see that the code is printed on the back ot our guide cards. The Public Rela- tions Committee is a co-ordinating committee that informs the student body and the com- munity about the activities ot the school gov- ernment and the school. lt is in charge ot a column in the Lite newspaper and tries to get interesting articles into Chicago newspapers. The Eligibility Committee is responsible tor checking the grades ot all candidates running tor an M.S.O.A. ottice to see that they are eligible. Working closely with this committee is the Election Committee. lt conducts all school elections pertaining to the M.S.G.A. and the Board and takes charge ot all campaigning and assemblies that are in relation to the elections. One ot their duties is to keep a record ol all the candidates and their positions.
