The otjlicial language in which the meetings are conducted is Spanish, This excellent idea pro- vides the members with a challenge in learning to translate quickly. The Spanish customs which These students can enjoy Through discussion are practically unlimited because ot The many countries which speak The language. With This state of affairs, it is not hard To see that The meetings never lag for There is always a good deal of conversational material. The ancient civilizations of Spain and Mexico provide invigorating discus- sion Topics as do The newer ones of South America. Mexico, with its many Tascinations, beckons to many of These people, and so, a great many ot Them Take The school Trip There during Easter vacation. They observe various Types ot Italian art which is becoming increasingly popular throughout the world. Still, the old customs and history of the long inhabited country are the most interesting topics which the club members discuss. The club has two main activities which are enioyed by all. The popular Torroni candy sale is particularly pleasnt Tor the entire student body. These members have furthered their quest Tor knowledge by making use of the langauge laboratory in which they are pictured here. With this system they are able to listen To and translate interesting stories in Italian. This method provides them with a very exceptable form oT education. Miss E.
