BOOSTER CLUB . . . One of the worthiest or- ganizations in both Morton East and Morton West which has done a great deal to make the football and basketball games at Morton a pleasure to those who attend them, is the Booster Club. The club sells peanuts, cokes, candy, and various kinds of refreshments to the hungry spectators who view our home games. Food is purchased a few hours before a game and is sold in the stands outside at the football games and in the foyer before the gymnasium at the basketball games. The sales begin before the freshmen-sophomore game and continue through the varsity game. Cokes, candy, potato chips, and the like are sold at moderate prices so as not to hamper any stu- dent from buying. Students from either Mor- ton East or West are allowed to ioin this club The club meets together both East and West, alternating the meetings between schools. The girls are required to wear white blouses and appear neat while selling the refreshments. Due to the willingness of these girls, Morton games are now more comfortable to everyone attending. The members are extremely loyal to the name and reputation of Morton. Morton students demand good service. STANDING, l. to r.: S. Turek, N. Lopez, F. Lander, C. Pakan, B. Komarek, P. Sukala, J. It is not only an honor but also a privilege to be one of the many students help- ing provide a friendly atmosphere at games. The fun far outweighs the work. Some students seem to never have enough to eat and up go the sales. It is really surprising how much some students will eat! exclaimed one sur- prised student. You get to meet many new people and make many friends. This service organization is one of the best liked clubs in Morton and is an excellent choice when one is planning on joining a club. The club elects officers and carries on meetings. The oflhcers for this year were Jeanette Demkovich, Presi- dent, Lois Tyle, Vice-president, Joyce Jucius, Secretary, and Nancy Voyt, Treasurer for Mor- ton East. West officers were: Linda Mostik, President, Carol Gahl, Vice-president, Diane Spinka, Secretary, and Mimi Rotunno, Treasurer. Pretty girls pack us with pop and potato chips. STANDlNG, l.to r.: M.
