or gclucafiona F regress ART CLUB . . . The prime obiective ot the Art Club is to gain enioyment in the tield of art. The members are encouraged to develop their crea- tive talents and to express Themselves in some torm ot art. They are also instructed in the appre- ciation ot time art by their advisors, Miss N. l-leraty at Morton East, and Miss L. Tarachas at Morton West. The members contribute their artistic abili- ties to various school projects, programs, and parties Their vvork has been used frequently tor decorations at assemblies and teas, thereby bring- ing the pleasure tound in art to others. The tes- 'ive decorations adorning the halls at Christmas time are another contribution of the Art Club. They otten help in scenery designing and painting tor the many school plays. Among the various forms ot art enjoyed by the club members are: painting, ceramics, iewelry, prints, pottery and dress de- signing. Their ettorts are arranged in the display in the annual Scholastic Art Contest at Wieboldts Department Store. The ofhcers at Morton East were: Janice Georgandas, President, Judy Lath- rop, Vice-presidentg Darlene Silver, Secretary, and Deana Van Husen, Treasurer. The ofhcers at Morton West vvere: Sharon Wolford, President, Karen Paulas, Secretary, Barbara Kubilc, Treasurer, Robert l-legstrom, Program Chairman.
