Through them the student is shown the higher realms of living, and it is they who direct him to the path which leads to the ultimate goal. Without teachers, the hopes for the future would have little meaning, for what good is a dream without knowing the means by which to accomplish it? It is our faculty who provide this means. PgQ8

CHARLES MATT The enormous amount of work connected with running Morton East and Mor- ton West is largely divided among these seven men who were elected by the people of our school district. Serving without pay and working in cooperation with the superintendent and school otlicials, they determine the policies of Morton, bud- get all money, and secure teachers and other members of the staft. Through their guidance, Morton is able to provide its students with the best possible education. Although they seldom have any personal contact with the school, they render a great service to it. They guide Morton to the high position it holds in the educa- tional vvorld, and vve all thank them tor devoting their time and efforts to us. Page 30
