Honor I Theirs SENIOR HONOR SOCIETY . . . Election to the National Senior Honor Society is one of the highest honors a Morton student can achieve. Membership is based on more than just good academic standing. Each candidate must show outstanding qualities of leadership and service. When May rolls around, elections are held in which both the faculty and the student have their say, and only fifteen per cent of the senior class and tive per cent of the junior class are finally admitted. The members perform various services throughout the year, one project being the biannual supervision of the honors banquet, Speakers are invited to the meetings to discuss various topics, and the members of the club and its advisor, Mr. P. L. Kiser, always enjoy the tradi- tional splash party. Officers elected for the first semester were Robert Freiberg, president Dave Berner vice president, Joyce Frost secre tary Rich Kassner treasurer Second se mester officers Rich Kassner, president Joyce Tetrev vice president Nonine Nelson secretary and Wayne Jartda IVGBSUFSI' SENIO 2 HONOR SOCIETY Peter Anderson Paul Bakule Kenneth Bala Bonnie Bedrava Daniel Bell David Berner Anthony Bialas Diane Borella Margaret Bozarth Donna Mae Brazitis Irene Bukovsky Dorothy Dalton Gerald Diedrich Marion Dunlop Sheila Dvorak Richard Ebens Charles Eggerstedt Robert Freiberg Joyce Frost Roger Hahn Carolyn Hans Wayne Janda Robert Jenkins Richard Kassner Roy Kotynek Vililliam Kutny Walter Loveland Judy McClendon David Melka Sandra Molek Notine Nelson Ralph Neiman April Ochsner G raldine Patrick Roberta Plachy Gloria Polich Charles Prazak Eileen Riccomi Elizabeth Salak Carole Schwab Barbara Sladek Jeanne Slovacek Roger Stedron Frank Stephan Donna Stulik NancyJ Svec Earl Talbot Joyce Tetrev Jon Trefil Betty Vicha Top Membership in the Senior Honor Society is based on more than just academic ability Center Only higher honors could be in store for these students Bottom Scholarship leadership and character Top First row N Svec J Tetrev D Stulik D Dalton Second row S Dvorak G Patrick J McClendon S Molek Third row E Talbot R Freiberg R Jenkins P Anderson J Tretil D Diedrich Fourth row W Janda P Bakule D Melka Mr P L Kiser M Bozarth Center First row F Stephan K Bala J Frost J Slovacek R Kotynek Second row B Bedrava D Borella E Salak G Polich N Nelson E Riccomi Third row R Hahn R Ebens B Vicha R Kassner R Neiman Bottom R Freiberg J Frost R Kassner Page 141
