There were no aulomalic eleclric bells lhal we have here now, only lhe bell in lhe lower lhal was rung each day by one ol lhe sludenls lugging on a long heavy rope. SECOND DECADE I903 Quile a dillerence . . . lhal lirsl gradualing class . . . wilh less lhan a hundred pupils compared lo our presenl gradualing classes now will-I l500-ISOO sludenls. The daily classes only had aboul one-lourlh as many in lhem as ours do al presenl. THIRD DECADE l923 When Morlon's sludenls were en- lhused by lhe lhoughl ol avialion as lhey are loday, lhey loolc lhis spec- lacular piclure ol lhe Ivlorlon campus. When lhal piclure was lalcen, lvlorlon was nol yel quile developed lo hall ils size loday. Since lhal lime lhe lire we had here burned down all lhe inner seclion ol lhe school and old lrame buildings. The audilorium, girls' gym. and lhe halls have been lenglhened since lhen. FOURTH DECADE I933 The lacililies in lhe shops in l93O were very rude compared lo whal lhey are loday. Nol only were lhey scarce, bul lhere were no lalhes, milling machines, drill presses or any ol lhe olher machines we have loday. The boys didn'l gel lhe lraining in lhe shops lhen lhal lhey gel now. FIFTH DECADE I943 Whall Sporls? Yes-all lcinds ol lhem lrom bowling lo baslmelball. lThere was even a checker leam.l We have some ol lhe besl coaches in lhe slale lo lrain lhe boys lo do lhe besl of lheir abilily, which is plenly good. Morlon undoubledly has one ol lhe linesl sporls programs in lhe slale now and will in lhe lulure have beller lhan ever. S1
