Teacher and Friend MRS. LAURA CARNES Died April, 1937 Many years ago there came to Morton a woman full of spirit and energy and humor and courage. She carrie to teach us to speak. Generations oi Morton students will testify that she taught that and much more. Some of her love of the best in literature, some of her gallant spirit. some of her zest for liie will continue so long as these pupils of hers play their part in the world. With sadness and with deep affection the classes of 1905 to 1930 bid farewell to Mrs. Carnes.
