After waltzing through the Lonesome Pine District, Region D and a state semi-final win over Drewry Mason on pitching and solid defense, Coach Shupe’s young squad had to rely on their bats and some outstanding plays by third baseman Brian Kirk to finish the season as the state’s only unbeaten high school team. Tracy Roberts Tracy Robert, daughter of Joe and Lona Roberts of Wise, has taken college preparatory classes at Kelly and has studied ballet with private teachers. Tracy is seeking a professional career in danc- ing. At Kelly, Tracy has served as presi- dent of the National Junior Honor Society, vice president of the National Honor Society and president of the Science Club. At awards assemblies, she has been presented the World History Award, U.S. History Award, “Il Dare You” Award, Citizenship Award and The DAR Award. Tracy has a 4.0 point grade standing and is number one in the 82 graduating class. Mike Osborne Mike Osborne, son of Gerald and Nora Osborne of Wise, has been a member of the Kelly football team from 1978-1981 and has been a member of the track team from 1978-1982. Mike is an outstanding football player and during the 1981 season, he was chose Lineman of the Year, All-District, All-Regional, and All- State.
