The '77 season Started with a win of 6-0 over Pound, then continued with wins over Coeburn, Norton, Powell Valley, Appalachia, Clint- wood and Ervinton. The Indians won again in the Region D play-offs by defeating Pennington 7-4 and Gardner 5-2. This brought the team to the State semi-finals in which Kelly lost to Wilson Memorial with a score of 2-1. Coach Mack Shupe’s team finished the season as L.P.D.
