TEN PIN BO WLING CL UB DUCK PIN BOWLING CLUB Whittier has both a ten-pin and a duck-pin bowling club with approximately one hundred members. The ten pin club is affiliated with the American Junior Bowling Congress which means that patches are distributed for special types of games and for the ’’Bowler of the Week.” At the end of the season, there is a party at which trophies are given to the top three teams and to the boy and girl with the highest series, highest average, highest game, and the most improved bowler. Thursday is bowling day and the season extends from October until April. Many thanks go to this year’s sponsors Miss Brown, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Peters, Mr. Jarman, Mr. Phillips, Mrs. Walthall, and Mrs. McCabe 45
