LATIN II Webb's Latin Club numbers l37 members this year. Club meetings are held during regular class periods once a month. The Latin CIub's motto is Cognoscamus , meaning AiALet Us Learn. These highlights shine out every year: the Latin banquet in April, the annual .l.C.L. convention in Chapel I-lill in March, and the national J.C.L. con- vention every August, which as many as are able lscholastically and tinanciallyl may attend. J.C.L. national will convene at the University ot Southern California this year. On the state level, Webb's Latin Club has been very active, Betsy Suit was '64-'65 vice president ot the North Carolina J.C.L. At the '65 convention in Chapel I-Iill, the Webb Romans were in charge ot the devotional and also furnished the entertainment. Betsy presented the '65 TORCH to the delegates.
