'41 ., JW SENIOR ClASS PLAY On October 30, November l and 3, the class of 1957 presented the comedy, MOTHER LS A FRESHMAN, which was a hit. Mrs. Abigail Fortitude Abbott, a widow of 30, because of financial difficulties, decides to take an old Pointer College scholarship, given to anyone named Abigail Fortitude. This upsets her daughter, Susan, very muchg for who ever heard of a sophomore girl having a freshman mother? Problems arise when all the boys fall for Mother, and Mother and Professor Michaels, the Zoology teacher who is the idol of all the girls--especially Susan, fall for each other. Riot breaks out when the stern dean and Susan walk in on the professor and Mother in the midst of a love scene. Love fails later when Mother and Susan find the good, dear, kind professor has given them both the same kind of book--a book of love poems. More color is added by Bobo, Sue's adoring boy friend, and the rest of the students.
