SENIOR CLASS PLAY The senior class presented One Foot in Heaven, a three act comedy by Hartzell Spence, on November 3 and 4 under the direction of Mr. Tom DeHaven, the dramatics coach, and lvene Stoneking, the student director. When Reverend William Spence, a Methodist minister, and his family move to Laketon, Iowa, they have their hands full handling an old run- down parsonage and a parish of troublesome, bossy middle-aged women. The Beverend's family-Hope, his wife, and Hartzell and Eileen, typical teenagers, are good, courageous, and Christian. Eileen and Hartzell have many friends, such as Louise who is a pretty girl, Molly, a crusader, Bonny, her brotherg Maria, a Mexican firl, and Letty, a fi f fly girl. . . l-5 l-J-w . n Mrs. Sandow, a wealthy woman, and Major Cooper, a man of narrow opinions, are two of Bev. Spence's biggest problems. Dr. Bomer is a cynical old country doctorg Bishop Sherwood is a kindly just man. Frazer, the Spence's youngest son, narrates the play. Much humorous color is added by Mrs. Jelli- son, Mrs. Cambridge, Mrs. Digby, the choir director, and her son Georgie. THE CAST Bev. WVilliam Spence .
