Ian Y-1 -I -.gl SENIOR CLASS PLAY ANGEL STREET, a Victorian melodrama, was presented November 18 and 19 by the senior class. As the curtain opens Mr. Manningham, under a disguise of kindliness. is trying to torture his wife into insanity. He accuses her of petty acts that he has arranged himself, and since Mrs. 5lanningham's mother died of insanity, she is more than half convinced that she, too, is going out of her mind. While her husband is out of the house, a friendly police inspector, lnspector Rough. visits Nlrs. Nlanningham. lie proves to her that her husband is a criminal maniac suspected of a murder committed fifteen years ago in the same house, and he is planning to get rid of her in order ro look for the Barlow rubies in the whole In the third act Mr. Slanningham discovers that his wife has been entertaining some man who might know what he is trying to do. While he is questioning her, Inspector Rough enters with two policemen arresting Mr. Xlanninghamg and Mrs. Nlanningham realizes that she isn't going insane. The curtain comes down, and much applause is heard from a tense, but beginning to relax, audience. Nancy and Elizabeth, both servants. add humorous and serious color to the play. Nancy, a flirtatious servant, will do anything that she can to help Mr. Manningham and anything that will hurt Nlrs. Nlanningham. Elizabeth. an elderly servant. who favors his. Nlanningham. helps her all she can and delays Nlr. Nlanningham. house without interference. CAST Hr. CLASS PRGPHECY In 1955 the Senior class of Geneseo High School graduated, and its members began to go on their life's way. It is now 1980, the year of their twenty- fifth anniversaryg and one of the class members,Chuck Bills, has the job of locating and contacting each member of the class for its reunion. After twenty-five years the class is scattered, but each one is successful in the world. Homg in Geneseo Pauline Matteson, Lois Edgar, and Barbara Gillespie have married and are prominent in social activities. Nylah Vandenberg is now a home economics teacher at the high school, and Ray Jacobs has succeeded Dale Martin ,as basketball coach. Kathryn Yager and Marilyn Hajek own a mink farm just outside Geneseo where they raise minks for Mary Morrissey who designs fur coats. Several of the class are successful in the sports world. Bill Wethington and Bob Quayle are professional wrestlers, and Gary Combs has retired from professional basketball to be- come a coach. 'Mapleleaf Rag' is the theme song of a jazz band now touring the country and featuring Dick Adams and Alan Anderson, a pair of crazy clarinetistsg Stan Vandersnick, a hot trumpeterg Dick Ford, a gone trombonistg and Bernard Lavery, a hep tuba man. Dick DePauw, Bob Baird, Frances DeWispelsere, and Lyle Wathier are now nationally famous as the 'Four Maple- leafs' and are making record- ings for a top record company. In Indianapolis, Indiana, Earl Anderson, Charles Fiers, and Bernard Edwards are building racers to enter next year's 500 mile speedway race. John Nelson and his 'Hobert's Hot- rodders in which Dick Hul- slander, Ronnie Specht, Walt Allen, and Earl Keegan are now touring the country as a dare devil driving team. In Washington, Janice Benson is secretary to Carol Miller who has graduated from class president to United States Senator. Also in the Capitol are Jim Little and Michael Hippler, former scientific gen- iuses of chemistry, class, who are now atomic scientists work- ing for the government. On the west coast, Carol Dirck and Leota Nuelieb are airline hostesses for Trans World Airlines. Pat Painter and Janett Roehrs live in California and design homes for movie stars. ln Hollywood, Bill Wablheim and Marilyn Searle are famous movie stars while Janice Ingram writes a society page in one of the papers. A leading Hollywood producer is Sue Young who has also written a stage production starring Suzanne Smith, a well known actress. Beverly Holke and Margo Betcher are in show business as a song and dance team. Sandra Wells is also in show business as a dancer on tele- vision. Janet McKenzie is the set designer for the popular TV show 'l Love Lucy' starring Lucille Ayres. 'Diamond Jim Catour owns a gambling casino in Reno, Nevada. Bill Davis and Willard Peterson are raising horses in Arizona. Kendall Miller is making millions with oil wells in Texas, and cattle rancher Gene Stees is another wealthy Texan.
