W . . nfl DOW MEMORY LA E From the beginning of civilization, one of man's earliest mediums of expressing his deepest feelings has been that of music. Now, as you browse through this 'diary' of the class of '55, you cannot fail to notice on each page a recurrence of our theme, which this year is music. For each of our classmates, our teachers, and for many of our activities, we have discovered some way in which they are expressed in music. In the same manner we can aptly connect this foreword to the song, 'Down Memory Lane. Each picture and subscript brings to us a reminder of our friends, joys, and hardships at GHS. The book itself is meaning- ful to the departing seniors, and the memories it brings will fill more pages than are possible to print. DePauw, Hanford, and Bonnie Wahlheim Gave us the incentive to upward climb. Guided by Sedenburg, Rylander, and Fuhr We knew our success would not be poor. Our Booster Club 'A Giant TV' Made everyone present chuckle with glee. We sold cards by hundreds and dozens, To all our aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bill Wahlheim, Bills, and Mary Lou Bollen Started our sophomore year a rollin'! 'Rollicking Dick and His Walking Stick' Made the sophomore Booster Club real slick. Rasmussen and Miller, advisers that year - Tried their best our class to steer. 'S sr YI' The waiting was over, 'Thank goodness, They're here! We got our class rings in our junior year. Hanford, Miller, and Bills lead us through Gilborne and Miller worked on the crew. The Carribbean Cruise' - Our Prom so dear Was the best at GHS for many a year. And last of all came our Senior Year With, many memories, which we all hold dear. Led by Miller, Smith, and Garrity Soon our diplomas became a reality. There were no freshmen in school this year Our system is progressing, that's very clear. And so - we graduate and part And leave the school so dear to our heart. 7 CAROL JEAN MILLER - 'Mill' - Lovely To Look At Class President 45 Class Vice-President 3, Athenian Club 3,45 Band 1,2,3,4: Booster Club l2,3,45 Chorus 4' GAA 1,2,3,4, Council l,2, Vice-President 3, President 49 Green and White 2,3,4g jr.
