6 'T 1 SENICR CLASS PLAY Meet Corliss Archer, a hilarious comedy, was presented on November l3 and 14 by the senior class. Corliss, a typical teen-age girl, gets into more trouble than she expects when she and her friend, Mildred, write a fictitious diary. The diary is full of lurid stor- ies about her father who beats his wife and Dexter Franklin, her boy-friend, who is Hdistilling illegal moonshinef' Cousin Agnes, a middle-aged old maid, reads the diary and believes it to be true. Dexter is thrown out of the Archer home with his bewildered parents follow- ing him. Louise, the maid, decides to quit. Mrs. Archer develops a horrid tooth- ache. And to top it all off Corliss is rushed to the hospital for an appendix oper- ation. In the third act all turns out well. Mrs. Archer no longer has a toothache. Louise stays on as the family maid. The story of the diary is explained. Cousin Agnes leaves-for good. Dexter is allowed back in the Archer home, Corliss and Dexter are reconciled after Corliss puts on a death-bed scene to prove Dexter isn't 1 GHCG. Corliss Archer -L Mr. Archer .
