COLORS: Scarlet and gray. FLOWERS: Red Carnations. CLASS HISTORY ,Twas baclc in 1933 Our ship went sailing out to sea. We sailed for miles and miles around Until a captain we had found. The captain was a lady fair, The crew and all were in her care. The captain was Gen Lough by name. 'Twas in this year she won her fame. She led us through our toil and strife And helped us start our trip through life Our first year flew so wildly past That soon our second year came fast. Our choice for captain soon was made And in Art Erickson our ship was stayed. The waters were not quite so rough, But still we did not lcnow enough. Our junior year was busy indeed, And for the prom we worked with speed. Somehow our crew was seldom changed, But captains were not so arranged. jean Lager had charge of our good ship And ne'er once did we lose hold and slip. 'Twas soon our fourth year did begin- The last stretch-One leap to win! Corine DePauw was leader chosen. And friendships then were far from frozen. Four years of sailing was lots of fun, And had hardships had we none. We hustled, hurried, and scurried along Until in wisdom we were cheerful and strong. But thanks to G. T. H. S. so dear That we've enjoyed from year to year. i8l v
