The Sphinx 1937 4 DEDICATION More than a century ago our forefathers pioneered westward to this beautiful country and founded the city of Geneseo. The two supporting pillars in the establishing of our city were religion and education. With the support of these two standards, Geneseo has always remained a thriving and outstanding community. Now, however, the first century in the history of Geneseo has passed, and we must turn our thoughts toward the future. Since we, the class of 37 , are charter members of the new century, we hereby dedicate this volume of the Annual to the Future, in the hope that we can carry on with the success of our forefathers. 3 v
