The Sphinx 1937 4 DEDICATION More than a century ago our forefathers pioneered westward to this beautiful country and founded the city of Geneseo. The two supporting pillars in the establishing of our city were religion and education. With the support of these two standards, Geneseo has always remained a thriving and outstanding community. Now, however, the first century in the history of Geneseo has passed, and we must turn our thoughts toward the future. Since we, the class of 37 , are charter members of the new century, we hereby dedicate this volume of the Annual to the Future, in the hope that we can carry on with the success of our forefathers. 3 v

Geneseo Township High School FOREWORD In presenting this volrune of the Annual, we have striven to give as complete a picture of the various activities of our school as pos- sible in the allotted space. We hope, in time to come, this brief memory of our high school days will become a priceless treasure in our storehouse of memories. Throughout the Annual, on the division pages, our artist has pictured for us the three seasons of our school year. To accompany them, she has cleverly placed the important sport of which we think in connection with each of rhe seasons.
