art I ,e .11 'r L, Hutchings relishes the art room mess. Lee conducts another public speaking class. Creativity bloomed in the art classes as industrious students poundered out their problems into blocks of wood or plaster or splashed paints on canvas in wild pattems. Experimentation was the magic word that turned everyday materials into environmental sculptures. Art classes studied the history of art from ancient to modem times, cuhninating their study with a trip to the Philips Gallery in Washington. Exhibits from aft classes decorated the halls throughout the year and the spring art show displayed the year's work of the students. , p ruff is .Q-5 Mrs. Kiely Miss Hutchings Mrs. Seidel Department Head fine arts .f. , , we 4'- u gh ' W.
